The Organizing Committee invites you to attend the 11-th International Conference on Hemorheology and Microcirculation that will be held on July 3 – July 5, 2017, in center of Russia, in the ancient Russian town Yaroslavl that is situated on the great river Volga. This is a city where the history of Russia comes to life. Its face bears traces of different times and epochs, white walls of old churches stand out against the greenery of numerous trees. Yaroslavl attracts tourists as a city of rich artistic heritage passing a lot of specimens of old architecture and painting. Magnificent views open from the steep banks of the rivers Volga and Kotorosl.

Servier Award for Microcirculation: Winner’s announced!
Dear Members of ESM,
It is our great pleasure to announce the Servier Award for Microcirculation, which will be given at the ESM-EVBO Congress, Geneva 2017.
Servier, with the European Society for Microcirculation (ESM), is offering a research award: the Servier Award in Microcirculation.
A € 4000 grant is offered every 2 years for an outstanding clinical or basic research publication in the fields of microcirculation and vascular biology. The call for applications is advertised on the ESM and the Conference websites.
The 2017 Servier Award in Microcirculation will be presented to Shengpeng Wang and Angela RM Kurz.
They will receive the prize during the 29 th European Society for Microcirculation Congress in Geneva (Switzerland), May 29-June 1, 2017.

Winner of the Malpighi Award 2017
Dear All,
On behalf of the Committee of the Malpighi Award 2017 it is my great pleasure to inform you that the winner of the Malpighi Award 2017 is Prof. Ralf H. Adams, Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine, Department of Tissue Morphogenesis, and University of Münster, Faculty of Medicine, D-48149 Münster, Germany.
The competition was high and the selection of the winner from many excellent candidates was done by anonymous voting.
The Award will be given to Ralf Adams at the ESM-EVBO 2017 Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.

The next prize will be awarded during the 29th European Society for Microcirculation Congress in Geneva (Switzerland), May 29-June 1, 2017.

Postdoctoral scientists and finishing graduate students are encouraged to submit an application with a view to becoming the next Blaschko Fellow, based in the Department of Pharmacology in Oxford.
This unique Fellowship offers an outstanding newly qualified DPhil/PhD student the opportunity of: two years of salary funding to conduct their own research project; direct supervision and mentoring by a member of academic staff in the Department of Pharmacology; accommodation and full access to the facilities of Linacre College, enabling the Fellow to benefit from a network of other researchers and graduate students; a small budget for consumables and travel to facilitate research and the dissemination of research results at seminars and events.
