Professor Ferenc Bari received a university medal

The renaming ceremony of our faculty took place on 16th September 2021, on the birthday of Albert Szent-Györgyi. In this ceremony, hosted by the Szeged National Theatre, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the relocation of the University to Szeged and of the inception of medical training here.

The highlight of the evening was the adoption of the new name ‘Albert Szent-György Medical School’, on which occasion several former deans of the Faculty received a medal, including the former head of our institute, professor Dr Ferenc Bari.
