Medical Physics and Statistics I. / EXAM NOTICE

 
Physics exam
The exam is a computer aided single-choice test, i.e. one and only one out of 5 answers is correct for all questions. In the given 50 minutes 40 questions will have to be answered.
Exam grades:
 0-22 pont :failed
23-27 pont: passed
28-31 pont: acceptable
32-35 pont: good
36-40 pont: very good
 
Biostatisztika vizsga
Students have to write their answers on the provided exam-sheets during 30 minutes. There will be 5 theoretical questions and two problems to be solved. From the two problems, one will be descriptive statistics (Lectures 1-5) and one hypothesis test (Lectures 5-). Hand calculator and formula sheet can be used on the biostatistics exam. Formula sheets will be provided.
Points:
5 theoretical questions all together 40 points
2 problems all together 60 points.
Core topics (without this knowledge the exam is failed independently of other knowledge):
-          Calculation of the mean, median and standard deviation of (a few) given numbers
-          Null- and alternative hypotheses of the tests
-          Evaluation of significance using statistical tables
-          Evaluation of significance using p-values
The exam is successful, if the answer of the core topics is correct and if the sum of the points is 50% of the total.
Exam grades:
 0-49 pont : failed
50-61 pont: passed
62-74 pont: acceptable
75-87 pont:  good
88-100 pont: very good
 
If either part of the exam is failed, the whole exam procedure will have to be repeated.
The final mark is a weighted average of the biostatistics (1/3 part) and physics (2/3 part) grade.
